Appointed as National Poet of Wales in July 2022, Hanan is an Welsh Iraqi poet, film-maker, scriptwriter and artist. Hanan is the first Muslim National Poet of Wales. Hanan shares her poetry and talks about the threads of life that brought her to her current role.
