Judith Barrow,originally from Saddleworth, a group of villages on the edge of the Pennines, has lived in Pembrokeshire, Wales, for over forty years.
She has an MA in Creative Writing with the University of Wales Trinity St David's College, Carmarthen. BA (Hons) in Literature with the Open University, a Diploma in Drama from Swansea University. She is a Creative Writing tutor and holds workshops on all genres.
Judith writes across a number of genres in her books, all published by Honno: her Haworth trilogy and its prequel, covers the experiences and lives of a family from WW1 through to the 1960s. The Heart Stone is based on the expectations of society against the devastation of WW1. Her novel, The Memory was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year Award 2021 (The Rhys Davies Trust Fiction Award). And Sisters, published in January this year, is contemporary fiction. She has also Indie published a book which is fiction built on fact: Silent Trauma.
