Jane O'Grady

About

Jane O'Grady co-edited Blackwell's Dictionary of Philosophical Quotations with A. J. Ayer, and has written Enlightenment Philosophy (Arcturus: Knowledge in a Nutshell), several entries for the Oxford Companion to Philosophy, and introductions to editions of John Stuart Mill's essays and Plato's dialogues. She writes philosophers' obituaries for the Guardian, and reviews for the Times Literary Supplement, the Telegraph, Prospect Magazine, the Literary Review, and other outlets. Having been a philosophy lecturer at Birkbeck's Faculty of Continuing Education, and an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at City University, London, where she lectured in Philosophy of Psychology, she has taught at the London School of Philosophy since co-founding it in 2010. She has given courses at the Freud Museum, Open University Summer Schools, and for the How to Academy, and has spoken at the Battle of Ideas, and on the World Service and Radio 4.
