ART
Christine Jacob
Biography
After a Foundation year at Winchester College of Art, Christine went on to Gloucestershire College of Art & Design, Cheltenham, to study Fashion Design.
After graduation, she became a Children's Wear designer for Marks & Spencer at their Head Office in Baker Street.
She has kept abreast of artistic developments through regular visits to Galleries both at home and abroad. Inspiration comes from numerous sources.
Her pendulum of influence swings from the atmospheric water colours of J.M.W. Turner, the alternative colour of the Impressionists and the sun raw compositions of American artist, Georgia O'Keefe, through to the current cutting edge computer generated drawings of David Hockney.
It is her move to Black Tar, in Llangwm, however, that has re-kindled her desire to produce Art. Her daily riverside views of the woods and estuary from dawn to dusk and between high and low water is her constant source of inspiration.
Christine works primarily in watercolours and computer generated imagery through her iPad.
Opening Time
Christine's work will be available to view and buy at Llangwm's Wesleyan Chapel during the festival.
