Lewis Griffiths was born locally at Port Lion, Pembrokeshire, but has spent much of his adult life living in New Zealand, where he worked as a farm veterinarian. Each year he still spends some time in both Wales and New Zealand.
He has always had a strong interest in history, particularly naval history and has previously written numerous articles and scientific papers but 'The Bell That Never Rang', published in 2022, was his first attempt at a full length novel.The storyline begins in the local village of St Ishmaels, visits New Zealand and Canada and concludes at the Battle of Jutland. For this writing project, Lewis extensively researched his family history, from which the novel's basic storyline evolved.
He has just completed the final draft of his second novel, a prequel to the first, which will be published in early August.

When not writing Lewis enjoys walking, gardening, reading and photography and has a picture framing "hobby business".
