About
In 2019 I completed a later in life MA in Creative and Life writing at Goldsmiths. My debut novel Miss Veal and Miss Ham was published by Muswell Press in the summer of 2025. I am on the board of the Royal Court Theatre, and an honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Society of London Theatre. I have enjoyed a forty-year executive and non-executive career in the Arts including Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company and before that Joint Chief Executive of the Royal Court Theatre. I have produced over 100 world premiere productions in the West End and on Broadway, including Matilda the Musical, and chaired four major arts organisations – Mountview Drama Academy, 14-18 Now, the RSA and Unboxed. Following my CBE I was awarded a damehood in the Queen’s Birthday honours for services to the arts in 2020.
Brought up in Cornwall and London, I divide life between my arts related voluntary activity and writing, whilst enjoying time at home in London and Pembrokeshire with husband Clive Jones.
