Paul is an award-winning English writer who lives in the west of Ireland. He is the author of three non-fiction books, two poetry collections, and three novels, including Booker-longlisted The Wake, set during the Norman Conquest, and his most recent, Alexandria, which takes place a thousand years from now, in a radically changed England. Paul is also the co-founder of the Dark Mountain Project, an international network of writers and artists challenging the stories of our crumbling world.
